How to get summer bod ready

With the semester coming to an end it’s just about that time where we all begin feeling the pressure that beach weather is fast approaching.Like i have said in previous posts it is difficult to workout and east healthy with  a busy school schedule it becomes even more difficult when finals begin. As students during final week majority of our days are spent locked away in a library or our bedrooms and the most exercise we get is the pacing we do back and fourth when trying to get a paper done. As for nutrition our diets usually consist of pizza, pizza, Ramen Noodles , chip, and more pizza. If your in this same boat don’t worry there is still plenty of time to get ready to his the beach. It will just take a bit of time, hard work, and dedication. Check out this 5 step guide how to get beach body ready in a month.

Step 1: Right Diet

Stick to a strict diet of only healthy nutritional low carb food! If you want to see the diet that I plan on following message me and I can pass it along but any diet can suffice as long as you stick to it!

Step 2: Work, Work, Work!!!!!!!

You should work out at least 5 times a week about an hour a day! Lifting, running, walking, legs! Do it all and those pounds will melt off!

Step 3: Drink a lot of water!

You should be drinking a gallon a day that is 8 normal size water bottles. It is so important to stay hydrated all the time, but it is extremely important when working out. It also helps you to lose weight.

Step 4: Get a great nights sleep!

It is important to get a goodnight of sleep. It helps to keep you energized, which is exactly how you want in order to get a better work out in. It also helps you be healthier in general.

Step 5: Plan your meals and days

If you meal prep it makes sticking to a diet so much easier! We are so busy on a day to day that we often use this as an excuse to cheat on our diets. So having meals done and planned out will help you stick to a diet.

Hey guys so for today’s post I decided to go with the theme of the fit girls guide and make a video of showing just how simple and easy it is to make one of their meals. In this video I made the pita pizza. It was super simple and tasted so good. It’s a real nice easy substitute for a regular slice of pizza and trust me you will defiantly feel better after eating it!  Hope you guys enjoy and let me know if anyone has any questions!

First Post!!!! Review of Fit Girls Guide

Hey guys! Welcome to fitness 101 the page all about living healthy and fit lifestyles all while trying to keep up with that busy class schedule and not break the bank. For my first  post I decided that I wanted to write a quick review for a weight loss challenge I recently did that was super simple to do on a busy schedule and also didn’t cost to much money or take too much time to meal prep. It is called the “Fit Girls Guide, the 28 day jump start.” It is an eBook that helps individuals begin their weight loss journey. This is a must for people who are just starting out or maybe want to ease their way back into the healthy lifestyle!

The first section in the book is the living section! It goes over all the basics of living a healthier lifestyle such as, drinking a gallon of water each day, getting the right amount of sleep, and making sure you continue to reward yourself throughout the challenge to keep yourself motivated! The book is a super easy read and keeps you interested because they talk in a real fun uplifting voice, the also incorporate real fun pictures!Screen-Shot-2014-11-30-at-7.40.05-PM.png

The second part of the book is the eating section! It goes over every detail about the eating you will be doing during the challenge. Telling you what it is you should stay away from, like alcohol, soda, and bad sugars. It also gives you a full list of the different foods you are allowed to have on the diets. One thing I especially liked about this program was that they had substitutes for everything. It gives options for vegans, vegetarians, and gluten free options.

The third section is the fitness section. They go over all the different workouts you will be doing each day. They also provide a picture of each workout as well as a description for how to do each one.(As shown above)  I really liked the fact they did this because I think it is very helpful for beginners who would not know how to do the workout just from the name provided. The workouts were super easy and fun but they really do work. They also provide a lot of fun ways to warm up or to burn some extra calories like throwing on some music and just dancing around.

The final section is the actual challenge. Here they provide full grocery lists, for each week, as well as a menu for what you will be eating that week.(An example menu provided above) Basically your breakfast and lunch stay the same for all 7 days and then you alternate between two different meals for dinner. Again for each thing they provide substitutes weather or not you do not like something, or you have an allergy or do not eat a certain thing. This helped me out a lot because like I previously stated i am a very picky eater. The meals were very simple to make and the grocery lists were not expensive at all. Honestly I saved more money doing this diet because regularly I’m so busy I’m constantly buying bad food and spending so much money on it.

Overall I lost 15 pounds while doing this program and it was so easy to do I never felt hungry or like I was missing out on eating while doing it. I highly recommend it to someone who is just starting out or someone who just needs to kick start themselves back into the healthy lifestyle. I hope you guys enjoyed this review.
